ये चित्पूर्व ऋतसाप ऋतावान ऋतावृधः । पितॄन्तपस्वतो यम ताँश्चिदेवापि गच्छतात् ॥
Transliteration
yé cit pū́rva ṛtasā́pa ṛtávāna ṛtāvṛ́dhaḥ | pitṝ́ṃ tápasvato yama tā́ṃś cid evā́pi gacchatāt ||
Translation
யமனே! முன்னோர்—ṛta-sāpa (ṛta-வின் துணையினர்), ṛtavān (ṛta-வை உடையோர்), ṛta-vṛdha (ṛta-வை வளர்ப்போர்) ஆகிய பழமையானவர்கள்; தபஸ் நிறைந்த அந்தப் பித்ருக்கள்—அவர்களிடமும் அவன் நிச்சயமாகச் செல்லட்டும்; அவர்களையே அவன் அடையட்டும்.
