Sukta 1.136
ऊती देवानां वयमिन्द्रवन्तो मंसीमहि स्वयशसो मरुद्भिः । अग्निर्मित्रो वरुणः शर्म यंसन्तदश्याम मघवानो वयं च ॥
ūtī́ devā́nāṃ vayám índra-vanto maṃsī́mahi sváyaśaso marúdbhiḥ | agnír mitró váruṇaḥ śárma yaṃsan tád aśyāma maghávāno vayáṃ ca ||
இந்திரனால் ஆதரிக்கப்படும் நாம், தன்னொளியுடைய மருத்கணங்களுடன், தேவர்களின் ஊதி (உதவி)யை மனத்தால் நாடுகிறோம். அக்னி, மித்ரன், வருணன் எங்களுக்கு சரணமெனும் அமைதியை அளிக்கட்டும்; மேலும் நாமும்—ஹே மகவன்—யாகவலிமை (மக) உடையோர்—அந்த நன்மையை அடைவோமாக.
