Recitation with translationVaraha Purana 39.66

tato brahmopasaṁhāre tallayaṁ tiṣṭhate ciram | punaḥ sṛṣṭau bhaved devo vairājānāṁ mahātapāḥ || 39.66 ||

Затем, при растворении мира, завершающемся уходом Брахмы в сокрытие, он долго пребывает в том состоянии слияния и погружения. И вновь, во время творения, то божество — великое в тапасе — возникает среди Вираджа.

FAQs

It reflects a common Purāṇic model of cyclical time—creation, dissolution, and re-creation—using technical terms (sṛṣṭi, upasaṁhāra, laya) that are central to early medieval Sanskrit cosmological discourse.

No geographic location is named in this verse; it is primarily cosmological and metaphysical rather than topographical.

Rather than a direct ethical rule, the verse conveys a philosophical instruction: beings and cosmic agents undergo periods of dissolution (laya) and re-emergence, emphasizing impermanence of manifested forms and continuity of cyclical order.
