Her state of mind

Curious; receiving instruction about sacred topography and post-mortem fruit

What she asks

Which conduct and sacred-place association leads to higher worlds and a detached death at the tīrtha?

Core idea

Saṅga-vivarjana (non-attachment) transforms death into deliberate prāṇa-utsarga and supports upward migration of consciousness.

In practice

Practice non-possessiveness and mental release; approach sacred places with inner renunciation rather than mere tourism or merit-seeking.

FAQs

It exemplifies Purāṇic merit narratives that connect tīrtha practice with imagined cosmological destinations, while simultaneously valuing detachment as an ethical ideal.

The text indicates the same tīrtha context as the preceding verse (“here/atra”), without specifying a modern correlate in this excerpt.

Cultivate non-attachment (freedom from saṅga) even while engaging in culturally prescribed rites, presenting renunciation as the mature culmination of practice.
