गोजिन्नः सोमो रथजिद्धिरण्यजित्स्वर्जिदब्जित्पवते सहस्रजित् । यं देवासश्चक्रिरे पीतये मदं स्वादिष्ठं द्रप्समरुणं मयोभुवम् ॥
go-jín naḥ sómo ratha-jíd hiraṇyá-jít svaḥ-jíd abjít pavate sahasra-jít | yáṃ devā́saś cakriré pītáye mádaṃ svā́diṣṭhaṃ drápsam aruṇáṃ mayo-bhúvam ||
O nosso Soma flui como vencedor das vacas (dos raios), vencedor do carro, vencedor do ouro, vencedor do mundo luminoso, vencedor das águas, vencedor do milhar. Os deuses o moldaram para ser bebido como embriaguez—como êxtase: a gota mais doce, rubra, portadora de bem-estar.
