पितुर्मातुरध्या ये समस्वरन्नृचा शोचन्तः संदहन्तो अव्रतान् । इन्द्रद्विष्टामप धमन्ति मायया त्वचमसिक्नीं भूमनो दिवस्परि ॥
pitúrmā́tur adhyā́ yé sám asvarann ṛcā́ śócantaḥ saṃdáhanto avratā́n | índradviṣṭām ápa dhamanti māyáyā tvájam ásiknīṃ bhū́mano divás pári ||
Do pai e da mãe eles se erguem, pela ṛc, num só acorde; ardendo, consomem os sem voto, os sem lei. Pelo poder da māyā sopram para longe a pele escura, odiada por Indra, desde a vasta amplidão ao redor do céu.
