Sukta 7.40
मात्र पूषन्नाघृण इरस्यो वरूत्री यद्रातिषाचश्च रासन् । मयोभुवो नो अर्वन्तो नि पान्तु वृष्टिं परिज्मा वातो ददातु ॥
mā́tra pūṣann āghṛṇe irasyó varūtrī yád rātiṣā́caś ca rāsán | mayobhúvo no árvanto ní pāntu vṛṣṭíṃ parijmā́ vā́to dadātu ||
Ó Pūṣan, ó fulgurante, não nos falhes aqui: que as potências protetoras e as que acompanham o dom nos concedam. Que os corcéis portadores de bem-aventurança nos guardem com firmeza; e que Vāyu, o que tudo circunda, dê a chuva — derramamento de força refrescante.
