Sukta 2.4
नू ते पूर्वस्यावसो अधीतौ तृतीये विदथे मन्म शंसि । अस्मे अग्ने संयद्वीरं बृहन्तं क्षुमन्तं वाजं स्वपत्यं रयिं दाः ॥
nū́ te pū́rvasyā́vaso ádhītau tṛtī́ye vidáthe mánma śaṃsi | asmé agne saṃyád-vī́raṃ bṛhántam kṣú-mantaṃ vā́jaṃ svapátyaṃ rayíṃ dāḥ ||
Agora, no avanço do teu antigo auxílio, no terceiro vidátha proclamo o pensamento inspirado. Ó Agni, dá‑nos um exército reunido de heróis — o Vasto, a plenitude luminosa, o vāja — juntamente com bom senhorio e o rayí, riqueza do ser interior.
