Sukta 2.33
स्तुहि श्रुतं गर्तसदं युवानं मृगं न भीममुपहत्नुमुग्रम् । मृळा जरित्रे रुद्र स्तवानोऽन्यं ते अस्मन्नि वपन्तु सेनाः ॥
stuhí śrutáṃ garta-sádaṃ yúvānaṃ mṛgáṃ ná bhīmám upa-hatnúm ugrám | mṛḷā́ jaritré rudra stavā́nó ’nyáṃ te asmán ní vapantu sénāḥ ||
Louva o Renomado que se assenta no profundo, o Jovem, terrível como fera, o Impetuoso que abate com o golpe. Ó Rudra, quando és louvado, sê gracioso para com o cantor; que teus assaltos e tuas hostilidades se desviem para outro lado, não sobre nós.
