Sukta 1.80
निरिन्द्र भूम्या अधि वृत्रं जघन्थ निर्दिवः । सृजा मरुत्वतीरव जीवधन्या इमा अपोऽर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥
nír indra bhū́myā ádhi vṛtráṃ jaghantha nír diváḥ | sṛjá marútvatīr áva jīvá-dhanyā imā́ apó ’rcann ánu sva-rā́jyam ||
Ó Indra, tu feriste Vṛtra e o lançaste para fora — do fundamento da terra e das alturas do céu. Liberta para baixo, até nós, estas águas cheias da força dos Maruts, águas ricas na riqueza da vida; que elas resplandeçam em nós, seguindo a tua soberana realeza.
