Sukta 1.162
यद्धविष्यमृतुशो देवयानं त्रिर्मानुषाः पर्यश्वं नयन्ति । अत्रा पूष्णः प्रथमो भाग एति यज्ञं देवेभ्यः प्रतिवेदयन्नजः ॥
yád haviṣyàm ṛtuśó devayā́naṃ trír mā́nuṣāḥ párī aśváṃ náyanti | átrā́ pū́ṣṇaḥ prathamó bhāgá eti yajñáṃ devébhyaḥ prativedáyan ajáḥ ||
Quando a força da oferenda, no ritmo das estações, é conduzida em tríplice forma pelas energias humanas ao redor do corcel de poder veloz, então aqui a primeira porção cabe a Pūṣan, o despertador e aumentador, que, como guia interior não-nascido, torna o sacrifício conscientemente conhecido e devidamente entregue aos deuses.
