imám agné ā́yuṣe várcase naya priyáṁ réto varuṇa mitrarājan | mātévā́smā adité śárma yaccha víśve devā jaradáṣṭir yáthāsat ||
Lead thou this man, O Agni, unto length of days and unto splendour; (grant) dear seed, O Varuṇa, O Mitra the King. Like a mother, O Aditi, bestow on him shelter: so may all the Gods (ordain) that he become one who beholds old age.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (exact r̥ṣi attribution for this single mantra not determinable from the provided excerpt alone).
Devata: Agni; Varuṇa; Mitra; Aditi; Viśve Devāḥ (collective).
Chandas: Likely Triṣṭubh/Jagatī-type cadence (requires full pada-metrical verification; not safely fixed from the excerpt alone).
Primary: shanta
Secondary: adbhuta
