The Efficacy and Sacred Merit of Akrūra Tīrtha
राजसूयाश्वमेधाभ्यां फलं प्राप्नोति मानवः ॥ तीर्थराजं हि चाक्रूरं गुह्यानां गुह्यमुत्तमम् ॥
rājasūyāśvamedhābhyāṃ phalaṃ prāpnoti mānavaḥ || tīrtharājaṃ hi cākrūraṃ guhyānāṃ guhyam uttamam ||
Człowiek otrzymuje owoc równy ofiarom Radżasuja i Aśwamedha. Akrura jest bowiem królem tirth, najwznioślejszą tajemnicą pośród tajemnic.
Varāha
It shows a Purāṇic strategy of revaluing pilgrimage as an accessible alternative to elite royal rituals, indicating shifts in religious economy and public participation.
Ākrūra-tīrtha is praised as a preeminent site within the regional tīrtha landscape.
The verse suggests that ethical-spiritual benefits are not restricted to costly rites; disciplined engagement with heritage sites is presented as broadly accessible.
