sehāná ugra pṛ́tanā abhí drúhaḥ śacī-pate índra víśvābhir ū́tibhiḥ | mādhyáṃdinasya sávanasya vṛtra-hann anédya píbā sómasya vajrivaḥ ||

Translation

O groźny Indro, napierając, staw czoła zdradom w bitwach ze wszystkimi twymi ratunkami, panie pełni. Przy południowym tłoczeniu, o zabójco Vṛtry, bez skazy, pij Somę, o dzierżycielu gromu.
