Sukta 16

अग्ने॑ वैश्वानर॒ विश्वै॑र्मा दे॒वैः पा॑हि॒ स्वाहा॑

Recitation with translationAtharva Veda 2.16.4

ágné vaiśvānara víśvair mā deváiḥ pā́hi svā́hā

O Agni Vaiśvānara, with all the Gods do thou protect me: svāhā.

O Agni Waiszwanara, wraz ze wszystkimi Bogami chroń mnie: svaha.

What it says

Invocation to Agni Vaiśvānara: “With all the gods protect me,” sealed by svāhā.

The inner meaning

Agni is the inner ‘metabolic intelligence’ and moral fire. Calling him “with all gods” integrates scattered faculties: protection arises when the whole inner ecology cooperates (not fragmented).

The truth in it

When the inner fire is aligned with the totality (community of powers), disorder and intrusion cannot easily persist. Integration is protection.

Kind of hymn
Bhaisajya / Rakṣoghna (Protective-Healing; warding off harms)

Its aim

General protection of the ritual subject (performer/patient) through Agni Vaiśvānara allied with the totality of the gods; repulsion of disease, mischance, and hostile agencies.
