एवमुक्तेऽथ रुद्रेण ब्रह्मा लोकपितामहः । उवाच रुद्रं सस्नेहं स्मितपूर्वमिदं वचः ॥ २१.७९ ॥

ਜਦ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਨੇ ਇਉਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤਦ ਲੋਕ-ਪਿਤਾਮਹ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ ਸਨੇਹ ਨਾਲ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੁਸਕਰਾ ਕੇ, ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਆਖੇ।
