Sukta 7.21
देवाश्चित्ते असुर्याय पूर्वेऽनु क्षत्राय ममिरे सहांसि । इन्द्रो मघानि दयते विषह्येन्द्रं वाजस्य जोहुवन्त सातौ ॥
devāś cit te asuryā́ya pū́rve ’nu kṣatrā́ya mamire sahā́ṃsi | índro maghā́ni dayate viṣáhya índraṃ vā́jasya johuvanta sātáu ||
ਹੇ ਇੰਦਰ! ਤੇਰੀ ਅਸੁਰਿਆ (ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤਾ-ਭਰੀ) ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਲਈ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਸ਼ਤ੍ਰ (ਰਾਜ-ਅਧਿਕਾਰ) ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਪ ਕੇ ਨਿਯਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇੰਦਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਦਾਨ (ਮਘ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਜਿੱਤਣੇ ਔਖੇ ਹਨ; ਜਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਨਤਾ (ਵਾਜ) ਲਈ ਉਹ ਇੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਪੁਕਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
