Sukta 2.4
नू ते पूर्वस्यावसो अधीतौ तृतीये विदथे मन्म शंसि । अस्मे अग्ने संयद्वीरं बृहन्तं क्षुमन्तं वाजं स्वपत्यं रयिं दाः ॥
nū́ te pū́rvasyā́vaso ádhītau tṛtī́ye vidáthe mánma śaṃsi | asmé agne saṃyád-vī́raṃ bṛhántam kṣú-mantaṃ vā́jaṃ svapátyaṃ rayíṃ dāḥ ||
ਹੁਣ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੀਜੇ ਵਿਦਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ-ਚਿੰਤਨ ਵਾਣੀ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਹੇ ਅਗਨੀ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਵੀਰ-ਸੈਨਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼—ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ, ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਮਾਨ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ; ਵਾਜ (ਵਿਜੈ-ਪੂਰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ) ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਪਤ੍ਯ (ਸ਼ੁਭ ਅਧਿਪਤਿਆ/ਚੰਗੀ ਸਰਦਾਰੀ) ਅਤੇ ਰਯਿ—ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਧਨ—ਦੇਹ।
