ਇਹ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਸੂਕਤ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਕਾਰੀਗਰ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਰਿਭੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ “ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ” (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਆਹਵਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ—ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਪਰਿਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ; ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਂ-ਗਾਂ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ। ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਯਜ੍ਞ ਦੀ ਕਰਤ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ: ਦੇਵ-ਖੋਜੀ ਹੋਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਨੀ, ਜੋ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਏ ਰਥ ਵਾਂਗ ਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ “ਘੜੇ” ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਰ ਮੂਲ ਵੱਲ ਵਿਸਤਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

प्र सूनव ऋभूणां बृहन्नवन्त वृजना । क्षामा ये विश्वधायसोऽश्नन्धेनुं न मातरम् ॥
ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧੋ, ਭੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ; ਹੇ ਕਰਮਠੋ, ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਓ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਥਾਂਮਦੇ ਹੋ, ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਖ਼ਸ਼ਾਮਾ (ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ) ਨੂੰ ਮਾਂ-ਗਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਲਵੋ; ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਲਈ ਟਿਕਾਉ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ ਦੋਹੋ।

प्र देवं देव्या धिया भरता जातवेदसम् । हव्या नो वक्षदानुषक् ॥
ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਧੀਆ (ਦੈਵੀ ਚਿੰਤਨ) ਨਾਲ ਦੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਓ—ਜਾਤਵੇਦਸ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਹਵ੍ਯਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਕ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਵੇ—ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਯਜ੍ਞ-ਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਵਤ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ।

अयमु ष्य प्र देवयुर्होता यज्ञाय नीयते । रथो न योरभीवृतो घृणीवाञ्चेतति त्मना ॥
ਇਹੀ ਦੇਵਯੁ—ਹੋਤ੍ਰ—ਯਜਨ ਲਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੇਰਿਆ ਰਥ, ਤਪਤ ਤੇਜ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਆਤਮ-ਬਲ/ਅੰਤਰ-ਚੇਤਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

अयमग्निरुरुष्यत्यमृतादिव जन्मनः । सहसश्चित्सहीयान्देवो जीवातवे कृतः ॥
ਇਹ ਅਗਨੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਸਤਿਤਵ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਤਾਰਦਾ ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਬਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਬਲਵਾਨ, ਦੇਵ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜੀਊਣ ਲਈ ਘੜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
