“Wahai yang amat bertuah, bertenanglah; jangan biarkan hati terjerumus dalam dukacita.” Demikianlah pada ketika itu Śuka menegur Gokarṇa.
Śuka
Inner equilibrium (prasāda/dhairya) is a prerequisite for discernment and dharmic response.
When distressed, follow the counsel of the wise: regulate thought, refrain from rumination, and return to duty and reflection.
Do not succumb to grief; maintain mental steadiness and composure when instructed by the wise.
Steadiness supports right action and liberation-oriented conduct; indulgence in śoka leads to delusion and further bondage.
Varāha Purāṇa 170 (Śuka–Gokarṇa dialogue sequence)
