एवं श्राद्धं बुधः कुर्यात् पितृयं मातामहं तथा । श्राद्धैराप्यायिता दद्युः सर्वान् कामान् पितामहाः ॥ १४.४३ ॥
evaṁ śrāddhaṁ budhaḥ kuryāt pitryaṁ mātāmahaṁ tathā | śrāddhair āpyāyitā dadyuḥ sarvān kāmān pitāmahāḥ || 14.43 ||
Demikianlah orang bijaksana hendaklah melaksanakan upacara śrāddha, baik persembahan leluhur (pitṛya) mahupun bagi datuk sebelah ibu (mātāmaha). Setelah dipuaskan dan disegarkan oleh persembahan śrāddha, para leluhur akan mengurniakan segala hajat yang diingini.
