Outer meaning

Flow forward for the dwelling/home and for the people worthy of praise; welcomed by the undeceiving; run to the feast with your most victorious stream.

Inner meaning

Soma is urged to advance for kṣaya—an abiding inner home, a settled poise of consciousness. He flows for the ‘panyase janāya’: those parts of us capable of wonder and aspiration. He is accepted by the adruha (the undeceiving, straight truth in us) and is asked to hasten to vīti (the offering/feast), i.e., the inner exchange where the human gives and the divine responds. The ‘most victorious current’ is the strongest, clearest movement of Ananda that overcomes mixture, doubt, and inertia.

Universal truth

Progress becomes stable when joy is purified and directed toward building an inner home; truthfulness welcomes it, and then the strongest current carries us through obstacles to fulfillment.

Themes

Invocation to flow, Truth-alignment, Establishing the home of consciousness, Ritual feast (vītī)

Other hymns
Rig Veda 9.9.1 (movement of Soma), Rig Veda 9.9.3 (birth and illumination)

Family tradition

A practical instruction-verse typical of Pavamāna hymns—directing Soma’s flow toward stability (kṣaya) and right participation (vīti).

Significance

Shows the yogic ‘aim’: not only ecstasy but an abiding home in consciousness, supported by sincerity (adruha).

Devata
Soma (Pavamāna)
Epithets
Juṣṭa (welcomed), Adruhe-priya (accepted by the undeceiving, implied), Caniṣṭha-vega (most victorious current, implied)
Related deities
Agni (sacrifice/offer), Indra (victory force)

Cosmic role

The advancing stream that builds stability and brings the offering to fruition.

Inner power

Purified joy that establishes inner dwelling and accelerates progress when met by sincerity.

Where it is used

Soma purification and invitation to the offering (vīti)
