Sukta 9.86
राजा समुद्रं नद्यो वि गाहतेऽपामूर्मिं सचते सिन्धुषु श्रितः । अध्यस्थात्सानु पवमानो अव्ययं नाभा पृथिव्या धरुणो महो दिवः ॥
rājā samudráṃ nádyo ví gāhate ’apām ū́rmiṃ sacate síndhuṣu śritáḥ | ádhy asthāt sā́nu pávamāno avyáyaṃ nā́bhā pṛthivyā́ dharuṇó mahó diváḥ ||
Bagaikan raja, ia memasuki samudera sebagaimana sungai-sungai memasukinya; bersemayam dalam arus-arus, ia menyertai gelombang air. Yang memurnikan diri telah mendaki puncak yang tidak binasa: pusat bumi, asas agung langit—menegakkan alam-alam di atas kebenaran yang teguh.
