पवस्व वाजसातयेऽभि विश्वानि काव्या । त्वं समुद्रं प्रथमो वि धारयो देवेभ्यः सोम मत्सरः ॥

Sanskrit recitationRig Veda 9.107.23

páv asva vā́ja-sātaye 'bhí víśvāni kā́vyā | tváṃ samudráṃ prathamó ví dhārayo devébhy aḥ soma matsaráḥ ||

Mengalirlah demi kemenangan kelimpahan daya (vāja); rangkumlah segala puisi ilham (kāvya). Engkaulah, wahai Soma, yang pertama menegakkan samudra dalam curahan luasnya bagi para dewa—wahai pemberi ekstasi yang bersorak (matsara).
