Sukta 8.55
आदित्साप्तस्य चर्किरन्नानूनस्य महि श्रवः । श्यावीरतिध्वसन्पथश्चक्षुषा चन संनशे ॥
ā́d ítsāptásya carkiran nā́nūnasya máhi śrávaḥ | śyā́vīr ati-dhvasán páthaś cákṣuṣā caná sámnaśe ||
Maka sesungguhnya, dengan memuji yang tujuh-lapis, kemasyhuran agung yang tidak berkurang pun bertambah. Yang gelap dihalau melampaui jalan-jalan; bahkan dengan penglihatan pun mereka tidak dapat bersatu—demikianlah kegelapan disingkirkan dari jalan.
