Sukta 1.72
विद्वाँ अग्ने वयुनानि क्षितीनां व्यानुषक्छुरुधो जीवसे धाः । अन्तर्विद्वाँ अध्वनो देवयानानतन्द्रो दूतो अभवो हविर्वाट् ॥
vidvā́ṃ agne vayúnāni kṣitīnā́ṃ vy ā́nuṣak churúdho jīváse dhāḥ | antár-vidvā́ṃ ádhvano deva-yā́nān átandro dūtó abhavo havir-vā́ṭ ||
Wahai Agni, mengetahui vayuṇa—tata kerja—kediaman manusia, engkau menyusun, helaian demi helaian, pintu-pintu gerbang yang luas bagi kehidupan kami. Mengetahui dari dalam jalan-jalan devayāna yang menuju para Dewa, tanpa jemu engkau menjadi dūta, pembawa dorongan persembahan (havir).
