ओ सुष्टुत इन्द्र याह्यर्वाङुप ब्रह्माणि मान्यस्य कारोः । विद्याम वस्तोरवसा गृणन्तो विद्यामेषं वृजनं जीरदानुम् ॥

ó suṣṭúta indra yāhy arvā́ṅ úpa bráhmāṇi mā́nyasya kāróḥ | vidyā́ma vástōr ávasā gṛṇánto vidyā́meṣáṃ vṛ́janaṃ jīrá-dānum ||

Wahai Indra yang dipuji sebaik-baiknya, datanglah ke mari, mendekat kepada mantra-mantra suci sang penyanyi yang mulia. Semoga kami, sambil melagukan pujian, dengan pertolonganmu meraih keadaan-fajar yang bercahaya; semoga kami meraih dorongan dan kepenuhan yang menang, wahai pemberi kurnia yang pantas.
