Sukta 1.145
तमित्पृच्छन्ति न सिमो वि पृच्छति स्वेनेव धीरो मनसा यदग्रभीत् । न मृष्यते प्रथमं नापरं वचोऽस्य क्रत्वा सचते अप्रदृपितः ॥
tám ít pṛcchanti ná simó ví pṛcchati svénēva dhī́ro mánasā yád ágrabhīt | ná mṛṣyate prathamáṃ nā́paraṃ váco 'sya kratvā́ sacate ápra-dṛpitaḥ ||
Mereka menyoalnya, namun tiada seorang pun mampu menyoalnya sepenuhnya; yang teguh itu menangkapnya dengan fikirannya sendiri. Dia tidak memalsukan kata yang pertama mahupun yang kemudian; dengan kehendak-kerja (kratu)-nya dia berserta dengan kebenaran, tidak terpedaya.
