वि पृच्छामि पाक्या न देवान्वषट्कृतस्याद्भुतस्य दस्रा । पातं च सह्यसो युवं च रभ्यसो नः ॥

ví pṛcchāmi pākyā̀ na devā́n vaṣaṭ-kṛtasyādbhūtásya dasrā | pātáṃ ca sahyáso yuváṃ ca rábhya so naḥ ||

Aku bertanya kepadamu dengan terus terang, bukan seperti orang yang menyoal para dewa kerana kejahilan: wahai Dasra, yang mahir lagi menakjubkan, pada seruan suci “vaṣaṭ”—jadilah kamu berdua pelindung kami dalam apa yang mesti ditahan, dan penolong yang pantas dalam apa yang mesti diraih.
