Sesungguhnya berbahagialah Saumitrī (Lakṣmaṇa): dialah yang memandang wajah Rāma—bercahaya dengan kemuliaan agung—laksana bulan yang bersih, dengan mata bak teratai merah.
Lakshmana, one who beholds the highly effulgent countenance of Rama, resembling the spotless Moon and whose eyes resemble red lotuses, is blessed indeed!
Dharma is shown as loyal service to righteousness—Lakṣmaṇa’s fulfillment lies in devoted companionship to Rama, the embodiment of dharma.
As Bharata nears Rama at Chitrakūṭa, he praises those who are close to Rama and share in his presence during exile.
Lakṣmaṇa’s steadfast devotion and selfless service (sevā, bhakti, anurāga) are highlighted.
