भरतस्य मातृसदनगमनं कैकेय्या दारुणवृत्तान्तकथनं च

मया तु पुत्र श्रुत्वैव रामस्यैवाभिषेचनम्।याचितस्ते पिता राज्यं रामस्य च विवासनम्।।2.72.49।।

Namun, wahai anakku, sebaik sahaja aku mendengar tentang upacara penobatan Rāma, aku memohon kepada ayahmu agar mengurniakan kerajaan kepadamu dan mengasingkan Rāma ke pembuangan.
