Transliteration

lakṣmaṇaṃ cānujānīhi sītā cānveti māṃ vanam |

kāraṇair bahubhis tathyair vāryamāṇau na cecchataḥ ||

Translation

Perkenankanlah juga Lakṣmaṇa; dan Sītā pun berkeras hendak mengikutku ke rimba. Walaupun aku telah menahan mereka dengan banyak alasan yang benar dan wajar, mereka tetap tidak mahu tinggal di belakang.
