अ॒स्मै मृ॑त्यो॒ अधि॑ ब्रूही॒मं द॑य॒स्वोदि॒तो॒३यमे॑तु । अरि॑ष्टः॒ सर्वा॑ङ्गः सु॒श्रुज्ज॒रसा॑ श॒तहा॑यन आ॒त्मना॒ भुज॑मश्नुताम्
asmái mṛ́tyo ádhi brūhīmáṃ dayasvóditaḥ ayám etu | áriṣṭaḥ sárvāṅgaḥ suśrúj járasā śatáhāyana ātmánā bhújam aśnutām ||
For this man, O Death, pronounce thou; have pity—let him, arisen, go his way. Unharmed, whole-limbed, of good hearing, let him by old age attain a hundred years, and with his very self enjoy his portion.
Untuk orang ini, wahai Mṛtyu (Kematian), ucapkanlah; belas kasihanilah dia—biarkan dia bangkit dan meneruskan jalannya. Tanpa cedera, sempurna anggota tubuhnya, baik pendengarannya; biarlah dia, dengan usia tua, mencapai seratus tahun, dan dengan dirinya sendiri menikmati bahagiannya.
