प्रत्य॒ग्निरु॒षसा॒मग्र॑मख्य॒त् प्रत्यहा॑नि प्रथ॒मो जा॒तवे॑दाः । प्रति॒ सूर्य॑स्य पुरु॒धा च॑ र॒श्मीन् प्रति॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी आ त॑तान
práty agnír uṣásām ágram akhyat práty áhāni prathamó jātávedāḥ | práti sū́ryasya purudhā́ ca raśmī́n práti dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ ā́ tatāna
Toward the Dawns did Agni show his foremost face; toward the days stood Jātavedas first in power. Toward the Sun’s rays, manifoldly spread, he reached; toward Heaven and Earth he stretched himself abroad.
Ke arah para Fajar Agni menampakkan wajah hadapannya yang utama; ke arah hari-hari Jātavedas berdiri pertama dalam kuasa. Ke arah sinar Surya yang terbentang beraneka ragam, ia menjangkau; ke arah Langit dan Bumi ia membentangkan dirinya luas.
