Sukta 76
pakṣī́ jāyānyáḥ patati sá ā́ viśati púruṣam | tád ákṣitasya bheṣajám ubháyoḥ súkṣatasya ca ||
A winged Jāyānya flieth; it entereth into the man. That is the medicine of the uninjured, and of both—yea, of that which is well-stricken also.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (attribution uncertain at single-verse level in common indices)
Devata: Bheṣaja / the expelling power against Jāyānya (affliction-personification)
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (probable; requires full hymn metrical audit)
Primary: bhayankara
Secondary: shanta
