अघ्न्याः। प्र॒जाव॑तीः सू॒यव॑से रु॒शन्तीः॑ शु॒द्धा अ॒पः सु॑प्रपा॒णे पिब॑न्तीः । मा व॑ स्ते॒न ई॑शत॒ माघशं॑सः॒ परि॑ वो रु॒द्रस्य॑ हे॒तिर्वृ॑णक्तु
ághnyāḥ | prajā́vatīḥ sú-yavase ruśántīḥ śuddhā́ ápaḥ su-prapā́ṇe píbantīḥ | mā́ vaḥ stená ī́śata mā́ghaśaṁsaḥ pári vo rudrásya hetír vṛṇaktu
Ye inviolable, rich in progeny, shining as ye fare to good pasture, pure, drinking the Waters at the fair watering-place—let not the thief have mastery over you, nor the evil-tongued reviler: round about you may Rudra’s missile choose its guard.
Wahai yang tidak boleh dicederai (aghnya), kaya zuriat, bersinar ketika kamu menuju ke padang ragut yang baik; suci, meminum Air (apah) di tempat minum yang elok—janganlah pencuri berkuasa atas kamu, dan jangan pula si pemfitnah yang lidahnya jahat. Semoga di sekeliling kamu, peluru/senjata Rudra memilih penjagaan.
