Mantera satu bait ini menuhankan añjana (celak/kolirium) sebagai daya psiko-erotik yang bekerja melalui mata dan seri wajah untuk meneguhkan tarikan timbal balik. Dengan menyapu salap gelap itu sambil melafazkan mantra, pelaku berhasrat untuk “menghitamkan” dirinya dalam hati yang lain—yakni menjadi hadir secara tak terhapus dalam fikiran kekasih—agar kedua-dua minda bergerak seia sekata.
