जनं॒ बिभ्र॑ती बहु॒धा विवा॑चसं॒ नाना॑धर्माणं पृथि॒वी य॑थौक॒सम्। स॒हस्रं॒ धारा॒ द्रवि॑णस्य मे दुहां ध्रु॒वेव॑ धे॒नुरन॑पस्फुरन्ती
jánaṁ bíbhratī bahudhā́ vivā́casaṁ nā́nā-dharmāṇaṁ pr̥thivī́ yáthaukasaṁ | sahásraṁ dhā́rā dráviṇasya me duhāṁ dhrúveva dhenúr anapásphurantī
Bearing the folk in many forms, of diverse speech, of various ordinances, Earth—each in his own abode—let her milk for me a thousand streams of wealth, like a steadfast cow, unrestive, that kicks not away.
Menanggung umat manusia dalam pelbagai rupa, dengan tutur kata yang beraneka, dengan dharma dan aturan yang bermacam-macam—Bumi, menempatkan tiap orang pada tempat tinggalnya sendiri—moga ia memerah untukku seribu aliran kekayaan, laksana lembu yang teguh, tenang, tidak meronta, yang tidak menendang menjauh.
