दुर्वासा उवाच । कर्मकाण्डं ज्ञानमूलं ज्ञानं कर्मादिकं तथा । एतयोरन्तरं नास्ति यथाश्ममृदयोर्मुने ॥ ३९.१० ॥

दुर्वासा म्हणाले— कर्मकांडाचे मूळ ज्ञान आहे आणि ज्ञानही कर्मादि पासूनच आरंभते. हे मुने, या दोहोंमध्ये खरा भेद नाही— जसा दगड व माती (यांचा भेद).
