नष्टचन्द्रानिले लोके नष्टभास्करतारके ॥ स्तम्भिताश्च दिशः सर्वा न प्राज्ञायात किञ्चन

naṣṭa-candrānile loke naṣṭa-bhāskara-tārake || stambhitāś ca diśaḥ sarvā na prājñāyāta kiñcana

लोकात चंद्र व वारा नाहीसे झाले, सूर्य व तारेही लोपले; सर्व दिशा स्तंभित झाल्या, काहीच कळत नव्हते।
