Sukta 7.11
अग्निरीशे बृहतो अध्वरस्याग्निर्विश्वस्य हविषः कृतस्य । क्रतुं ह्यस्य वसवो जुषन्ताथा देवा दधिरे हव्यवाहम् ॥
agnír īśe bṛható adhvarásyāgnír víśvasya havíṣaḥ kṛtásya | kratúṃ hí asya vásavo juṣantā́thā devā́ dadhire havya-vā́ham ||
अग्नी विशाल अध्वर (यज्ञ) याचा अधिपती आहे; सिद्ध/तयार केलेल्या सर्व हवि (आहुती)चा स्वामीही अग्नीच आहे. कारण वसु-देव त्याचा क्रतु (संकल्पशक्ती/कर्मप्रज्ञा) स्वीकारतात; म्हणून देवांनी त्याला हव्यवाह (हवि-वहनकर्ता) म्हणून प्रतिष्ठित केले.
