Sukta 2.29
किमू नु वः कृणवामापरेण किं सनेन वसव आप्येन । यूयं नो मित्रावरुणादिते च स्वस्तिमिन्द्रामरुतो दधात ॥
kím ū́ nu vaḥ kṛṇavāmā́pareṇa kím sánena vasavo ā́pyena | yūyáṃ no mitrā́varuṇā́dite ca svastím indrā́maruto dadhāta ||
मग आम्ही तुमच्यासाठी दुसऱ्या कोणत्या उपायाने काय करावे? केवळ वरवरचा लाभ (आप्य) मिळवून काय साध्य होईल? हे मित्र-वरुणा, हे अदिती! आमच्यासाठी स्वस्ति (कल्याण) स्थापन करा; आणि हे इंद्रा, मरुतांसह, त्या कल्याणाला दृढ करा.
