बृहस्पते प्रथमं वाचो अग्रं यत्प्रैरत नामधेयं दधानाः । यदेषां श्रेष्ठं यदरिप्रमासीत्प्रेणा तदेषां निहितं गुहाविः ॥
bṛ́haspate prathamáṃ vā́co ágraṃ yát prā́irata nā́ma-dhéyaṃ dádhānāḥ | yád eṣā́ṃ śréṣṭhaṃ yád arí-pram āsī́t preṇā́ tád eṣā́ṃ níhitaṃ guhā́ āvíḥ ||
हे बृहस्पते! जेव्हा त्यांनी प्रथम वाणीचा अग्रभाग प्रवर्तित केला, नामधेय धारण करून (ते) स्थापित केले—तेव्हा जे त्यांचे श्रेष्ठ होते, जे अरिप्रम (निर्दोष) होते, आत्मप्रेरणेने; तेच त्यांच्या अंतरी गुहेत निहित होते आणि प्रकट झाले.
