देवो न यः सविता सत्यमन्मा क्रत्वा निपाति वृजनानि विश्वा । पुरुप्रशस्तो अमतिर्न सत्य आत्मेव शेवो दिधिषाय्यो भूत् ॥
devó ná yaḥ savitā́ satyá-manmā kratvā́ ni-pā́ti vṛjánāni víśvā | puru-praśastó amátir ná satyá ātméva śévō didhiṣā́yyo bhūt ||
सत्यमनाचा देव सविता जसा, तसा तो आपल्या क्रतु (संकल्प/शक्ती) ने सर्व व्रजन (वाकडेपणा/विघ्न) थांबवून सरळ करतो. बहुप्रशस्त तो असत्य अमती (कुटिल बुद्धी) नाही, तर सत्यच; आत्म्यासारखा तो शेव (कल्याणकारी) होऊन दृढ धारण करण्याजोगा बनतो.
