Sukta 1.52
अभि स्ववृष्टिं मदे अस्य युध्यतो रघ्वीरिव प्रवणे सस्रुरूतयः । इन्द्रो यद्वज्री धृषमाणो अन्धसा भिनद्वलस्य परिधीँरिव त्रितः ॥
abhí svavṛ́ṣṭiṃ máde asya yúdhyato raghvī́r iva praváṇe sasrur ūtáyaḥ | índro yád vajrī́ dhṛṣámāṇo ándhasā bhínad válasya paridhī́ṃr iva tritáḥ ||
त्याच्या स्वतःच्या वर्षा-ओघाकडे—सोममदात युद्ध करणाऱ्या त्याच्यासाठी—सहाय्ये उतारावरून धावणाऱ्या वेगवान प्रवाहांसारखी धावली. जेव्हा वज्रधारी इंद्र, अन्धस् (सोमरस) आनंदात धृष्ट होऊन, वलाच्या परिघ-आवरणांना जणू कडे/रिम तोडावेत तसे फोडून टाकतो—तेव्हा लपलेली समृद्धी व परिपूर्णता उघडून प्रकट होते.
