Sukta 1.162
उप प्रागात्सुमन्मेऽधायि मन्म देवानामाशा उप वीतपृष्ठः । अन्वेनं विप्रा ऋषयो मदन्ति देवानां पुष्टे चकृमा सुबन्धुम् ॥
úpa prá agāt sumán me ’dhāyi mánma devā́nām ā́śā úpa vītápṛṣṭhaḥ | ánv enaṃ víprā ṛ́ṣayo madanti devā́nāṃ púṣṭe cakṛma subándhum ||
तो जवळ आणि पुढे येऊन पोहोचला आहे; माझ्यात सुमन—शुभ विचार—स्थापित झाला आहे, देवांच्या आशेकडे वळलेला तो विचार. विस्तीर्ण-पाठीचा तो वाहक जवळ येतो; त्याच्या मागोमाग विप्र व ऋषी आनंदित होतात. देवांच्या पुष्टीसाठी आम्ही सुबन्धु—उत्तम बंधन, शुभ संयोग—घडविला आहे.
