The Efficacy and Sacred Merit of Akrūra Tīrtha
tatra nityaṃ sthito devi lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā || māṃ dṛṣṭvā manujā devi muktibhājo bhavanti te ||
Varāha
It exemplifies the Purāṇic rhetoric that ties place-based devotion (darśana at a site) to soteriological language (mukti), shaping pilgrimage as an ethical-cultural practice.
The referent is Ākrūra-tīrtha introduced immediately prior.
The verse emphasizes welfare-oriented presence and encourages a reflective, purposeful visit to heritage sites rather than casual tourism.
