विषुवे चायने वापि कार्त्तिक्यां तु विशेषतः ॥ यां दत्त्वा मुच्यते पापाच्छशाङ्क इव राहुणा

ವಿಷುವದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಅಯನದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ತ್ತಿಕ ಮಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ—ಅದನ್ನು ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದವನು ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ರಾಹುವಿನಿಂದ ಚಂದ್ರನು ಬಿಡುವಂತೆ.
