अश्वो वोळ्हा सुखं रथं हसनामुपमन्त्रिणः । शेपो रोमण्वन्तौ भेदौ वारिन्मण्डूक इच्छतीन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव ॥

Transliteration

aśvó vóḷhā sukhaṃ ráthaṃ hasanā́m upa-mantríṇaḥ | śépo rómaṇvantau bhedáu vā́rin maṇḍū́ka icchatī́ndrāyéndo pári srava ||

Translation

ಅಶ್ವನು ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುವ ರಥವನ್ನು ಹೊರುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಮಂತ್ರಿಣಃ—ಸಹಚರ ಸ್ವರಗಳು—ಕರೆದು ಪ್ರತಿಕರೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಶೇಪ (ಜನಕಶಕ್ತಿ) ರೋಮಣ್ವಂತೌ (ಚಲನೆಯುತ) ಆಗಿ ಭೇದೌ (ಭೇದಕ)ವಾಗಿ ಅಡ್ಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ; ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಂಡೂಕ (ಕಪ್ಪೆ) ಕೂಡ ಬಯಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೇ ಇಂದು (ಸೋಮ), ಇಂದ್ರನಿಗಾಗಿ ಪರಿ ಸ್ರವ—ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಹರಿದು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಿಯು.
