यस्त्वा हृदा कीरिणा मन्यमानोऽमर्त्यं मर्त्यो जोहवीमि । जातवेदो यशो अस्मासु धेहि प्रजाभिरग्ने अमृतत्वमश्याम् ॥
yás tvā hṛdā́ kīríṇā mányamāno 'mártyaṃ mártyo jóhavīmi | jā́tavedo yáśo asmā́su dhehi prajā́bhir agne amṛtatvám aśyām ||
ಯಾವ ಮર્ત್ಯನು ಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಕೀರಿಣಾ—ಗಾನವಾಣಿ—ಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಮರ್ತ್ಯನೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಆ ಮર્ત್ಯನಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಓ ಜಾತವೇದಸ್, ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ಸು—ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ತೇಜಸ್ಸು—ವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸು; ಮತ್ತು ಓ ಅಗ್ನೇ, ಪ್ರಜಾಭಿಃ—ಸಂತಾನಶಕ್ತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ—ನಾವು ಅಮೃತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯೋಣ.
